The 30-year-old woman from Alabama initially seemed like a great fit for her Indian boyfriend, Tejaswi “TJ” Goswami. However, things changed when she traveled to India and discovered major cultural differences and family drama. Kimberly realized that TJ’s loved ones wanted her to live like an Indian bride and take responsibility. However, she wanted to be more American in the Indian household. At one point, Kimberly wore ripped jeans in front of TJ’s Orthodox family, which created a lot of drama.
Recently, Kimberly reunited with her dad and stepmom on the show. She told her parents about TJ’s family and how they wanted her to change. Kimberly shared that she was no longer excited to marry TJ despite loving him very much. She blamed TJ’s brother, Yash, and his other family members for not accepting her. Kimberly’s father wasn’t too shocked to hear about the drama. He told her to postpone the wedding to fix things. Kimberly’s father also suggested that Kimberly could book a ticket and fly back to the United States with them.

Kimberly believes that all the problems in her relationship are due to TJ’s family. However, viewers can see that she has gone off the rails during her trip to India and isn’t seeing her faults. The first example of Kimberly’s unstable attitude happened at the beginning of the season. She recklessly drove around on Indian roads like a princess and demanded to use TJ’s car. If TJ had stopped or not let her do it, she would’ve blamed him for not letting her be independent. Kimberly has accused TJ’s family of similar issues.

Kimberly has long been in India, and viewers believe she knew not to wear the torn jeans while meeting TJ’s orthodox family. Despite that, the 90 Day Fiancé franchise star probably did it because of stubbornness and because it was her choice. She was single-handedly responsible for triggering her future mother-in-law and causing the drama.
Kimberly Shows No Respect For Her In-Laws Or Indian Culture
Indian brides and grooms must follow certain traditions because that’s part of their culture. Neither grooms nor brides can act like they are superior to their peers by not embracing the responsibilities that come with marriage. So far, Kimberly has behaved like embracing Indian culture will somehow sabotage who she is. She thinks following Indian culture would make her give up her American culture. However, that’s far from the truth. In India, brides come to build a home with their husbands and live with their families.
