Brice Bolden’s Parents Wanted An Averaged-Sized Baby, Why?

7 Little Johnstons fans are familiar with Brice Bolden, but his parents are not so well known, so when they hoped that Elizabeth “Liz” Johnston would have an average-sized baby, TLC fans wondered why. Previously, they discussed the fact that Liz hoped for a little person, and Brice seemed to either not mind or nod his agreement.

Brice Bolden Stepped Up For His Daughter

For years, TLC fans saw that Liz Johsnton’s boyfriend claimed he wanted to be with her for the rest of his life. Remember when they lay in the back of the truck gazing at the stars? He clearly adored her. However, they ran into problems and they split. So, Trent and Amber Johnston were shocked that she fell pregnant by him. In fairness to him, he stepped up to be a baby daddy and vowed to look after Liz as well.

Brice Bolden and Liz Johnston seemed very nervous about telling Trent and Amber about the baby. Actually, some 7 Little Johnstons fans thought Brice looked like a terrified rabbit in a spotlight. For 21 weeks, they waited and she hid her pregnancy. However, they inevitably needed to reveal their secret and the conversation later turned to an average-sized or little person-sized baby.

7 Little Johnstons Fans Discuss Brice’s Parents

On the TLC show, 7 Little Johnstons fans discovered that Brice’s mom and dad would like for their son’s baby to be an average-sized person. Actually, that directly opposed the feelings of Liz Johnston, and Trent and Amber. So fans discussed how Liz Johnston doesn’t seem keen on dating little people. And, she seems obsessed with the fact that she’s the tallest in the family.

When Bryce (sic) said his parents wanted them to have an average size baby seemed like an awkward moment.

In the comments, some TLC fans felt that wishing for a baby without potential skeletal complications seemed normal.  Here are some of their opinions:

  • This might sound horrible…but if your child’s life will be likely “easier” (from a medical standpoint, social interaction, and physical challenges), why would you not want your child to be average size?
  • read that as a very honest instead of [a] polite answer. They likely don’t want the baby to grow up with the health challenges associated with dwarfism. They can be considerable.
  • Achondroplasia is a condition that almost certainly will bring surgeries and pain. Why would any parent wish a significant medical condition on their child?
