- Several cast members from 90 Day Fiancé, such as Angela Deem and Big Ed Brown, have caused controversy and engaged in shocking behavior.
- Leida Margaretha, Kelly Brown, Amanda Wilhelm, Jordan Mason, Debbie Aguero, Christian Allgood, Jovi Dufren, and Sumit Singh have all had their own legal issues and run-ins with the law.
- These incidents range from fraudulent payments and assaults to drunk driving, drug possession, and operating a business without a license.
90 Day Fiancé has featured many controversial stars, some of whom crossed the line and went to jail for shocking reasons. Over the years, the reality TV franchise has cast some of the most notorious people ever, including Angela Deem, who was once a fan favorite for her unapologetic attitude. Unfortunately, her likability changed after her weight loss and has become more chaotic than ever. In the last three years, Angela has flashed cameras, wrecked her husband Michael Ilesanmi’s car in Nigeria, and done various other controversial things.
Like Angela, Big Ed Brown is another controversial cast member who never ceases to amaze fans with his antics. Ed first became known when he appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 4. Since then, he has become a regular on the franchise and has done various over-the-top things to keep himself relevant. However, unlike these other 90 Day Fiancé cast members, Big Ed has never been arrested.
Leida Margareta from 90 Day Fiancé season 6 had a bad reputation after she kicked her teenage stepdaughter out of her home. When people lashed out at her, she disappeared on social media. Unfortunately, things just got much worse for Leida in the United States. TMZ reports that on October 9, 2023, 90 Day Fiancé alum Leida was arrested for making “fraudulent payments and withdraws” at her workplace.
7 Kelly Brown
While Kelly Brown hasn’t been arrested, he does have an arrest warrant. The New York ex-cop was in a relationship with Georgia-based businesswoman Molly Hopkins. While in Georgia, Kelly allegedly choked Molly’s daughter, Olivia Hopkins, in the LiviRae Lingerie store. The news went viral a few months ago, as sources emerged that claimed Kelly is facing an arrest warrant. The details by In Touch suggested he had committed “terroristic threats/acts” and “battery/physical harm.” Fortunately for Kelly, his arrest warrant was dismissed, which may suggest he isn’t guilty of the crimes.
Some new cast members have also crossed paths with cops in the past. 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 6 star Amanda Wilhelm faced battery charges in 2010. The 31-year-old single mom was only 19 years old when she allegedly attacked another woman named Kayla Patton. In Touch reported that she attacked the woman with a baseball bat in the Bay County region of Florida. The reports also claim that the 90 Day Fiancé franchise star wrestled the woman to the ground, causing various injuries to her knee and elbows. Amanda has since claimed she wasn’t at fault during the incident and was simply defending herself.
5 Jordan Mason
In May 2023, Texas court jail records surfaced online, revealing that Jordan Mason from 90 Day Fiancé: Love In Paradise had been in trouble for two major offenses. According to Starcasm, the drama began when a Texas couple put a TV for sale on Craigslist. The buyer came to the couple’s house with “multiple men” and forced them at gunpoint. Thankfully, the police arrived quickly, leading the robbers to run off. While Jordan was missing from this drama, she later approached the couple and threatened them to withhold the details of the incident. The interference led to Jordan’s felony arrest, eight days in jail, 400 hours of community service, and a $1,500 fine.
4 Debbie Aguero
Debbie Aguero has also been in trouble in the past. The 67-year-old grandmother didn’t harm anyone like other cast members on the list. However, she was operating her business without a license in 2006. As per Cheatsheet, Debbie got arrested and went to Gwinnett County, Georgia, for having “no business license” for her jewelry store. The then-51-year-old received a fine of $221 for her offense. Since the incident happened nearly two decades ago, there aren’t many details to report. However, the arrest was probably related to Debbie selling precious metals without proper authorization.
3 Christian Allgood
Christian Allgood is another new cast member with a past criminal record. He got a DWI arrest in 2019 when police pulled him over while he was in an intoxicated state. The Deputy reported Christian had slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, and smelled like he had recently consumed alcohol. The drunk driving incident isn’t the first time the reality TV star got in trouble. According to Starcasm, he was previously arrested in 2012 for drug possession. The 31-year-old Minnesota resident doesn’t have the best reputation among 90 Day Fiancé fans. Therefore, his past offenses only make him look even worse.
2 Jovi Dufren
Yara Zaya’s party-loving husband, Jovi Dufren, has been in legal trouble two times. Jovi was 19 years old when New Orleans sheriffs caught him drunk. Since he was under the legal age, he had to face the consequences of consuming alcohol and driving. The DUI report suggests his seatbelt was also off at the time. A few months after the incident, cops again caught Jovi red-handed. He had alcohol in 2009 and wasn’t even 21 years old. Jovi, who was probably immature and careless at the time, missed his court date and was issued a warrant.
1 Sumit Singh
Jenny Slatten’s husband, Sumit Singh, also has a criminal history. Sumit became popular for catfishing Jenny on Facebook. However, that isn’t the only scandalous thing he has done in the past. Sumit’s ex-wife had filed a criminal case against him for committing adultery during his journey on the show. He had already married another woman under the influence of his parents, which led him to face multiple legal issues. Fortunately, Sumit got out of his first toxic relationship and got a divorce to settle things. The 90 Day Fiancé franchise star has since tied the knot to Jenny and is living his best life.
